Look at the count next to the rating
A perfect 5.0 from twelve reviews tells you almost nothing. One happy street's worth of neighbors can produce that. A 5.0 across several hundred is very hard to manufacture and impossible to sustain by accident.
Check more than one platform
Identical scores everywhere is a flag, not a badge. Real companies score a little differently on Google, Yelp and Angi, because the audiences, the filters and the rules are different on each one.
Read the ones where something went wrong
Five-star reviews tell you how a company behaves on an easy day. What you are actually buying is how they behave on a bad one, which is the only thing you cannot judge until it is too late.
See whether technicians get named
Invented reviews describe the company in general terms. Real ones name the person who showed up, because a human being was in the house and made an impression.

Are these reviews real?
Yes. The feed above pulls live from our Google Business Profile, which we cannot edit. Every quote names the platform it came from, and every platform is linked. Run the four checks at the top of this page on us, then run them on anyone else you are considering.
Do you pay for reviews or offer incentives?
No. We ask every customer for a review after the job, and that is the whole system. SwiftPro does not write, buy, edit or remove customer reviews on any platform, and we do not offer discounts, gift cards or entries into anything in exchange for one. That is also why our scores are not identical everywhere.
How did you work out the 4.96 combined score?
Each platform's rating is multiplied by the number of reviews that platform actually has, those are added together, and the total is divided by 1,005. It covers Google, Angi, Yelp, the Better Business Bureau and Facebook. Facebook publishes recommendations rather than star ratings, so each of its recommendations counts as 5.0. Why is your Yelp rating 4.5 when your Google rating is 5.0?
Because they are different platforms with different audiences and different filters, and because we have had unhappy customers. We have left the 4.5 on this page, linked, next to everything else. A company showing you an identical perfect score on every platform is showing you something curated.
What exactly is the free second opinion?
If another company has quoted you for a repair or a replacement on your heating, cooling, water heater or plumbing, we will come to your home, inspect the actual equipment, and give you our honest read plus your options in writing. There is no charge and no obligation. If the first company got it right, we will tell you that.
Do you charge for estimates?
Estimates on installations and replacements are free, as is the second opinion on a major heating, cooling or plumbing quote. Diagnostic visits on a system that is already broken are a service call, and we tell you the cost before we come out. No surprises on the invoice.
Who actually shows up at my house?
A SwiftPro technician who specializes in the trade you called about. We keep a dedicated heating and cooling team and a dedicated plumbing team rather than cross-training everybody to do a bit of both. Many Northern Virginia problems cross the line between the two (what looks like a plumbing leak is frequently HVAC condensation), and having real experts on both sides under one roof means faster diagnosis and nobody pointing at another company.
