A pump replaced on a Tuesday is a plumber and an invoice. A pump replaced during
the storm is a plumber, an invoice, a restoration company and whatever was on the floor.
The offer. $697 covers a standard sump pump replacement in an existing, sound pit:
a new cast iron primary pump, a new quiet check valve, new PVC to your existing discharge line
where needed, removal of the old pump, a bucket test, and a battery water alarm at no charge. One
per home. Say the offer when you book.
What is not in it. A new or deeper pit, repair or re-routing of the discharge line
outside the house, a battery backup system, and any electrical work including a dedicated circuit.
If your basement needs one of those, you get that price in writing before the work starts and you
are free to decline it and take the replacement on its own.
The pump and backup together. $3,200 installed covers the replacement above
plus a battery backup system. Fairfax County’s Flood Mitigation Assistance Program reimburses 50
percent of the battery backup portion, $2,503 of that price, which is about
$1,251 back and about $1,949 net. The reimbursement is the county’s, not
ours. It is first come, first served, the work must be paid for in full before you apply, and
we cannot promise the county will pay you. The $697 pump is not an approved practice
and is not reimbursed.
The rest. Residential only. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts. Offer ends
October 31, 2026. Fairfax County’s Flood Mitigation Assistance Program is the county’s program, not
ours, and eligibility, funding and the Vienna and Herndon exclusions are theirs to set. SwiftPro
