Yours is $298, or $199 with a year of membership. The one you give is free either way. We call you to set up both.

Nothing is charged online. We call or text this number to book both cleanings.

Which one?

Comfort+ covers your dryer vent cleaning, a water heater flush with a sewer camera inspection, a heating maintenance visit and a cooling maintenance visit, every year.

Who’s the second cleaning for? (optional)

Why lint burns

Ask any camper about dryer lint.

Campers save dryer lint to start their fires. It’s dry, it’s fluffy and it’s full of air, so it catches from a spark and burns fast.

That same lint lines the inside of your dryer vent, right behind a machine that pushes hot air through it for close to an hour at a time. Nobody would keep fire starter behind a heater. A packed dryer vent does exactly that.

Lint is a highly combustible material that can accumulate both in the dryer and in the dryer vent.U.S. Fire Administration, Clothes Dryer Fires in Residential Buildings

The numbers

Why a dryer vent is a fire prevention job

Lint that gets past the screen builds up inside the dryer vent line, where nobody sees it. It’s dry, it’s fine, and it sits in a pipe full of hot air. These are the national numbers, from the people who count fires.

Home dryer fires also injure about 344 people a year on average, and failure to clean is behind more of them than anything else. NFPA, Home Dryer Fires

The visit nobody makes

Everyone visits Mom and Dad. Nobody looks behind the dryer.

We fix the TV, change the smoke alarm battery when it chirps, carry the heavy groceries in. The dryer vent never comes up, because it’s out of sight: behind a machine nobody moves and up a wall to a flap outside.

Next time you visit a parent or grandparent, take five minutes for these. If two or more sound familiar, it’s time for a dryer vent cleaning.

The five-minute check

  1. Ask how many cycles the towels takeA second cycle for a normal load is the most common sign the dryer vent is packed.
  2. Feel the top of the dryer after a loadHot to the touch, or a laundry room that gets hot while it runs, means the heat has nowhere to go.
  3. Look behind the dryerA crushed hose, a foil or plastic one, or lint on the floor and the wall are all signs.
  4. Go outside while it runsThe flap on the vent hood should open. Lint around the hood, or a flap that stays shut, means a blocked line.
  5. Press the test button on the smoke alarmsEvery alarm in the house should sound. Then check the date on the back: an alarm more than 10 years old gets replaced.

From our customers

Word for word, from our Google reviews.

  • Moises and SwiftPro were excellent. They cleaned my dryer duct and repaired an area that had become disconnected and was therefore posing a fire hazard. Moises was punctual, friendly, and even went the extra mile to help me briefly with another small household project.Ashley Ahmed, Google review
  • Swift Pro just performed a vent cleaning at my 50 year old house that has never had a vent cleaning. Very satisfied with price and service, the technician Aaron was polite, professional, punctual and answered all of my questions without making me feel like a dummy. I was so pleased with the service that I signed up for the Swift Pro membership. Highly recommend Swift Pro for all of you HVAC needs. I do not have any plumbing problems but they will definitely be my first call if one arises.Karen Wenger, Google review
  • I was trying to dry my clothes, but my dryer just would not work. I believed that the heat trip was being activated, so I tried cleaning the vent myself. Well, I couldn’t get deep enough, so I had to call some professionals. They came as soon as they could, and cleaned out my dryer vent. Turned out that there was TONS of like solid dust chunks in there that was just completely blocking airflow. After that, my dryer worked fine.Helljumper, Google review, Ashburn
  • We had Aaron from Swiftpro clean our dryer vent and he did a wonderful job. Arrived on time, was courteous and professional. He found and fixed a problem with the vent attachment at no extra charge. Would recommend highly!Susan, Google review

The people most at risk are the ones we visit

Adults 65 and older are 2.5 times as likely to die in a fire as everyone else, and the risk climbs with age. The chore that prevents it is harder on them, too.

The service

What a dryer vent cleaning includes

The whole line, not just the part you can reach. We put a camera in, photograph what’s there and show you, then clean it. Both cleanings, yours and the one you give, are the same job.

  • The whole line, brushed and vacuumed from the back of the dryer to the hood on the outside wall.
  • Airflow, measured at the outside hood with the dryer running.
  • The hose behind the dryer, checked for kinks and crushing.
  • The flap outside, checked that it opens when the dryer runs.
  • A dated invoice if your homeowners association asks for one, and before and after photos of the line when we can get a clear shot.

Under an hour in most homes. We clean long runs in townhouses and condos and hoods two or three stories up. If a line needs a part or a repair, you see the price first and it’s your call.

Fire prevention and dryer vent questions

Can a clogged dryer vent cause a house fire?

Yes. A failure to clean is the leading cause of home dryer fires in the U.S., behind 32% of them, and lint and dust are what catch fire first more often than anything else. Fire departments respond to about 13,820 home dryer fires a year, according to the National Fire Protection Association.

What is the leading cause of house fires?

Cooking is the leading cause of home fires and home fire injuries in the U.S., and heating equipment is second, according to the National Fire Protection Association. Among dryer fires, the leading cause is a failure to clean.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

Once a year, or sooner if clothes start taking longer to dry. That’s Fairfax County Fire and Rescue’s advice, and Prince William County’s fire marshal recommends a yearly professional cleaning.

What are the signs of a clogged dryer vent?

Towels that need a second cycle, a dryer that’s hot on top, a hot laundry room, lint behind the dryer or around the flap outside, and a flap that doesn’t open when the dryer runs.

When do most dryer fires happen?

In fall and winter, peaking in January, according to the U.S. Fire Administration. Heavier clothes and more loads in cold weather may be part of why, so an October dryer vent cleaning gets ahead of the busy months.

How much does dryer vent cleaning cost in Northern Virginia?

With SwiftPro it’s $298 on its own, or $199 with a year of Comfort+ membership, which includes a dryer vent cleaning every year. This October we also clean a second dryer vent free for someone you choose.

How does the gift of safety work?

Book a dryer vent cleaning any day from October 1 to October 31, 2026, at $298, or join Comfort+ membership for $199 a year, which includes it. Either way we clean a second dryer vent free for a friend, neighbor or family member you choose in our service area. Not sure who? We’ll pay it forward to an older neighbor or a veteran who needs it. The gift cleaning is done by December 31, 2026.

What does Comfort+ membership include?

Four visits every year for $199: a dryer vent cleaning, a water heater flush with a sewer camera inspection, a heating maintenance visit in the fall and a cooling maintenance visit in the spring. Members get 15% off any service, and half of every repair bill is banked toward replacing that system, up to $1,500. We book every visit and keep the maintenance records. The full terms are at goswiftpro.com/membership.

Do other home maintenance plans include dryer vent cleaning?

Not that we found. We read the published plans of 13 other heating, cooling and plumbing companies in Northern Virginia on October 5, 2026, and Comfort+ is the only one that includes a dryer vent cleaning. It’s also the only one with both a dryer vent cleaning and a water heater flush.

Can I give the cleaning to my parents if they live in another town?

Yes, anywhere in the part of Northern Virginia we serve: Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.

How long does a dryer vent cleaning take?

Under an hour in most homes. Long runs and high hoods take a little longer.

Do homeowners associations require dryer vent cleaning?

Some homeowners associations in Northern Virginia ask for a yearly dryer vent cleaning and a receipt. You get a dated invoice and camera photos of what we find, plus before and after photos when we can get a clear shot.

Do you clean dryer vents in townhouses and condos?

Yes, including long runs and hoods two or three stories up. In a condo the dryer vent can belong to the building, so check with the association first.

How often should smoke alarms be tested?

Every month, with the test button. Replace a 9-volt battery at least once a year, and replace the whole alarm 10 years after the date it was made, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

When is Fire Prevention Week 2026?

Sunday, October 4 through Saturday, October 10, 2026. The National Fire Protection Association holds it every year during the week of October 9. Our offer runs all of October.
