What you’re seeing in this video
It's dusk at an outdoor mini golf course, and the family is on its second round of 18. Tyler Griffin, SwiftPro's owner, narrates from a small face-cam inset in a light blue T-shirt while the kids take turns putting.
He runs through a packed weekend of friends, pickleball and errands, then says why it matters: as a business owner you need the reset before a hard week. He mentions the next day's schedule board is already shut down because the company is overbooked, which he calls a great problem to have in August.
All right, we are out here in Manassas, enjoying some mini golf here. We're on our second round of 18. They have two 18-hole courses here. Got to fit in as many family fun activities as we can on the weekends.
Today was packed full with church and friends over for lunch, played some pickleball for a couple hours, took [name] for a haircut. Now we're out here enjoying some mini golf. Lots of fun. As a business owner, man, you got to enjoy family time and make the most of weekends, get the reset for the week ahead, ready to hit it hard.
We've got tomorrow jammed full. We've already got our scheduling board shut down. We're overbooked already. So, great problem to have in August.
Excited for what the team can accomplish this week.
Why it matters in your house
- August is peak AC season in Northern Virginia, and schedules fill fast. Book your AC tune-up in spring, before the first heat wave, and you pick the day instead of waiting for one.
- A family-owned company is run by someone who lives here and answers for the work. Ask who owns a contractor before you sign anything.
- Owners who protect their own time tend to protect their crews' time too. Rested techs make fewer mistakes in a hot attic.
When is the best time to schedule AC service in Northern Virginia?
Spring, ideally March through May, before the first stretch of 90-degree days. That's when a tune-up catches a weak capacitor or clogged drain before it fails, and when schedules have room. By July and August, most HVAC companies here are booked solid with no-cool calls.
