HVAC Company Behind the Scenes: The Work Before Your Visit
Before a SwiftPro tech pulls into your driveway, the equipment and parts for your job have already been staged in the warehouse. This tour shows that side of the company: recycling, inventory, staging and warranty returns.

What you’re seeing in this video
On a rainy day, a young SwiftPro tech unloads an old tank water heater and drops it in the scrap bin by a red shipping container in the yard. Everything that goes in that bin gets scrapped and recycled instead of landfilled.
The tour moves into the larger warehouse space. Shelves hold AC units, furnaces, heat pumps and air handlers, plus custom sheet metal boxes for installs and new filter systems. One area holds a job staged for pickup, everything a crew needs gathered and ready. Another is the warranty return section, where failed parts wait to go back to the manufacturer.
Last stop is the office side: the warehouse manager's space and a new meeting room where the company's vision, mission and values poster hangs, waiting for a full wall of reviews.
All right, we have Mateo dropping off a old water heater here and putting it into our scrap bin where we have a team that comes in and scraps everything out, recycles everything that gets put into here. It is a bit of a rainy day today. This is located halfway in between our two office. We are coming into our other large warehouse space.
For here, we have consignment AC units, furnaces and heat pumps, air handlers, etc. With our vendor relationship with Ferguson, you will see some different inventory items, custom metal boxes or HVAC installations there as well as new filter systems. We have some miscellaneous inventory here for supplies. This is a job that's getting staged for pickup.
This is our warranty return section, some metal parts there. And we have the man, Josh, warehouse manager over here. This is work in progress this space, but this is the inside part of the office for the warehouse management and new room that we're using for meeting spaces. This is my goofy youngest son.
This is a flex space in here for meetings. We are going to be putting a nice logo and bunch of stuff, the Swiftwater wall of fame and values, vision type stuff on there. Right now we just have the one poster that defines who we are and what we're about with our kind of vision, mission, values, etc. That will be put onto the wall in a formal and professional fashion along with some reviews and other things that will highlight on there for the crew.
Why it matters in your house
- A job staged the day before means the crew shows up with the right equipment instead of making a parts run halfway through your install.
- Ask any contractor what happens to your old water heater or AC. Old units hold metal and refrigerant that should be recycled and recovered, not dumped.
- Warranty returns are paperwork you never see. A company that tracks failed parts can get them covered by the manufacturer instead of the cost landing on you.
What happens to my old water heater when it's replaced?
At SwiftPro it comes back to the shop and goes into a scrap bin that gets hauled off for recycling. A tank water heater is mostly steel, so it's worth recycling rather than leaving at the curb. Ask your installer whether haul-away is part of the job before the work starts.
