What you’re seeing in this video
An older homeowner sits in her living room and tells her story. She describes being conned by another HVAC company and says she's still upset about it. Then she turns it around: one door closed, and a bigger one opened.
SwiftPro answered her call right away and sent a tech out to look at her home. She calls him trustworthy, easygoing and diligent. Two days later the installation is underway: two wrapped SwiftPro vans with ladders are parked at the house, and a tech in a black shirt connects thermostat wiring at the wall.
She finishes by recommending SwiftPro for heating and cooling any season of the year.
Hello, good morning. I called SwiftPro and said I had been conned by another HVAC company. They cloned two other companies to make themselves a jet. I'm still devastated, but I have to go with a positive.
One door closed, but a bigger door opened. SwiftPro immediately answered my call and made an appointment for Moises to come to my home. A true angel, a true professional, and easy going, and trustworthy, and diligent. From the moment I spoke with Moises, I knew I was in perfect hands.
Today, two days later, the SwiftPro is here despite the rain, the cold, the wind installing my HVAC in the most professional manner. David, the representative, is here recording me, and the other two workers, amazing, professional, dedicated, hard, hard workers, professionals to the teeth. I highly recommend SwiftPro for your heating and cooling at any time of the day, of the season, of the year. Thank you.
Why it matters in your house
- Before anyone touches your system, look up the contractor's license on the Virginia DPOR site and make sure the name on the license matches the name on the truck and the paperwork.
- Be wary of a big cash deposit, pressure to sign on the spot, or a replacement quoted before anyone tested the old system. Those are the usual signs of an HVAC contractor scam.
- A real install leaves a trail: a permit, the equipment model and serial numbers on your paperwork, and a company that still answers the phone after the check clears.
How do I avoid an HVAC contractor scam?
Check the Virginia license and reviews before the visit, not after. Get the diagnosis and the price in writing before work starts. Never pay the full amount up front, and be suspicious of any deal that expires today. If a quote for a whole new system shows up before anyone tested the old one, get a second opinion.
