Plumbing ASMR: A Corroded Sink Drain, a Drain Machine and a New Part
This plumbing ASMR clip starts with a corroded drain joint under a sink, the kind of crusty connection that leaks slowly into a cabinet. Then a tech works the job with a drain machine and a new part.

What you’re seeing in this video
The opener is a close-up of an old drain pipe joint under a sink, crusted with corrosion where two pieces meet. That crust forms where water has been seeping out a little at a time.
A SwiftPro tech in a black hoodie, beanie, mask and shoe covers works over a drop cloth in the kitchen. A drain machine, the motorized cable plumbers use to clear lines, sits nearby with a boxed replacement part. Then he moves to the sink itself.
There's no talking, just the work. The sounds are the machine, the tools and the water.
Why it matters in your house
- Look under your kitchen and bathroom sinks once a season. Crust, stains or a warped cabinet floor under a joint mean it's been seeping.
- Metal drain pieces under older sinks corrode from the inside, so they can look fine until they crack when someone bumps them.
- If a sink keeps clogging after you clear it, the problem is usually further down the line, which is why the drain machine comes along.
Why is the pipe under my sink corroded?
Usually a slow leak. Water seeps out at a joint, evaporates and leaves minerals behind, and the metal corrodes under that crust. Harsh drain cleaners speed it up, especially on older metal drain pipe. Wipe it dry and put a paper towel under it overnight. If it's damp in the morning, the joint needs replacing, not just tightening.
