No. We price the system, not the openings, so the number on this page is the number on the invoice. Per-vent pricing is how the coupon in your mailbox turns into a much bigger bill once somebody is in the attic.
Sometimes, and the camera is how you find out. If the duct walls are furred over like the photos on this page, cleaning takes that out of the loop your air runs through. If the metal is clean, it isn’t worth it and we’ll say so. The EPA’s position is that routine cleaning hasn’t been shown to prevent health problems, and we won’t argue with them to sell a job.
We won’t promise that. Most of what settles on your furniture comes from inside the room, and the filter catches what’s moving. Cleaning takes out what’s already stuck to the duct walls, past the filter, where no filter change will ever reach.
Every 3 to 5 years for most homes, sooner if you have pets, just finished a renovation, or just bought the place. The dryer vent cleaning is the yearly one.
