HVAC Tools, One Clip: What SwiftPro Techs Bring to the Job
The HVAC tools a tech carries run from drills and impact drivers to refrigerant gauges, meters, wrenches and tubing cutters. This clip tries to fit them all into one montage across three jobs.

What you’re seeing in this video
A tech with a long beard, his hair in a bun, stands in a front yard in a black SwiftPro hoodie and cap beside a yellow wheeled machine, while another tech kneels at the side of the house.
Inside, the clamp meter comes out at an air handler control panel. Outside, a tech with a tattooed forearm drives screws into the top panel of an outdoor condenser. Each shot is a different tool at a different stage of a job, and the joke is that one short video can't hold them all.
Why it matters in your house
- A tech who shows up with digital gauges, a micron gauge and a meter can measure the problem instead of guessing at it. Ask what readings they took.
- The basic HVAC tools list: cordless drill and impact driver, nut drivers, refrigerant gauges, a multimeter or clamp meter, a vacuum pump, tubing cutters, brazing gear and a leak detector.
- Good tools aren't the whole story, but a tech who keeps them organized and clean usually treats your house the same way.
What tools do HVAC techs use?
Daily: an impact driver, nut drivers, refrigerant gauges, a clamp meter and a thermometer. For installs: a vacuum pump with a micron gauge, a recovery machine, tubing cutters, a brazing torch with nitrogen, and a level. Add a leak detector, a manometer for gas pressure and coil cleaning gear, and that's most of the van.
