Do you charge per vent?
No. We price the system, not the openings, so the number on this page is the number on the invoice. Per-vent pricing is how the coupon in your mailbox turns into a much bigger bill once somebody is in the attic.
Is air duct cleaning worth it?
Sometimes, and the camera photos are how you find out. If the duct walls are furred over like the photos on this page, cleaning takes that out of the loop your air runs through. If the metal is clean, it isn’t worth it and we’ll say so. The EPA’s position is that routine cleaning hasn’t been shown to prevent health problems, and we won’t argue with them to sell a job.
Will it help with the dust in my house?
We won’t promise that. Most of what settles on your furniture comes from inside the room, and the filter catches what’s moving. Cleaning takes out what’s already stuck to the duct walls, past the filter, where no filter change will ever reach.
How often should air ducts be cleaned?
Every 3 to 5 years for most homes, sooner if you have pets, just finished a renovation, or just bought the place. The dryer vent cleaning is the yearly one.
How long does it take?
Return Air Duct Cleaning is a couple of hours. Whole Home Air Duct Cleaning is most of a day. A dryer vent cleaning adds under an hour. You get the arrival window when you book, and we call to confirm.
What is the ActivePure Air Scrubber?
A unit fitted into the main duct at the furnace, so it’s treating the air the whole time your system runs, not just while somebody is cleaning. It’s equipment we install, which is why it’s priced as its own tier.
Why does my home size change the price?
Bigger homes have more duct. Up to 2,000 square feet on one system is the base price. Past that it’s $0.10 a square foot, and each additional system is 90 percent of the first, because each one is isolated and cleaned on its own.
