Good Morning Hustle Motivation, Filmed on a Commercial Rooftop
This good morning hustle motivation clip starts with a tech on a commercial roof guiding a unit section overhead. The real detail is quieter: a clamp meter on the wiring and an umbrella for shade.

What you’re seeing in this video
A tech in a royal blue long-sleeve shirt, cap and sunglasses guides a rooftop unit section as it swings overhead, then turns to the camera to talk.
Next comes a Trane rooftop unit with its access panels open. A clamp meter hangs clipped onto the wiring inside, and a blue umbrella is propped over the work to keep the sun off.
A clamp meter reads the current a motor or compressor is drawing without cutting a single wire. A tech compares that number to the nameplate to tell a healthy motor from one that's working itself to death.
Why it matters in your house
- Rooftop units bake all summer, and so do the techs servicing them. Shade over an open panel keeps a long electrical check careful instead of rushed.
- If your building's rooftop unit trips its breaker or hums without starting, the amp reading is where diagnosis begins. Ask your tech what the meter showed.
- Commercial rooftop work starts early for a reason. Mornings are cooler on a black roof, and an early start gets the system back before the building heats up.
What does a clamp meter tell an HVAC tech?
It measures amperage, how much current a compressor, fan or blower motor is pulling, by clamping around one wire. High amps can mean a motor straining or a dirty coil. Low amps on a compressor can mean low refrigerant or a failing part. It's one of the first readings on any no-cool call.
