It's an eleven-second bit. The voice keeps escalating while the on-screen text plays it as a homeowner's first look at their clean ducts.
The work under it is real. Aaron, our duct cleaning technician, in an N95 and red headlamp, cleans an open ceiling duct, then kneels in a carpeted room and runs a red vacuum hose into a floor register.
Carpeted rooms matter here. Carpet sheds fibers and holds dust, and floor registers sit right at foot level, so they collect more than ceiling grilles do. A register in a carpeted room is often one of the dirtier openings in a house.
Why it matters in your house
- The honest result of air duct cleaning is bare metal at the openings and less dust settling on furniture over the next few weeks, not a different house overnight.
- Ask to see the photos after. That first look at the before and after is the part homeowners remember, and it's how you know what you paid for.
- Keep the results longer by changing your filter on schedule and vacuuming the floor registers when you vacuum the carpet.
What should I notice after air duct cleaning?
Most people notice less dust settling on shelves and TV screens within a couple of weeks, and registers that stay clean longer. Rooms that had weak airflow from buildup may blow harder. If your ducts were already fairly clean you won't notice much, which is why a good tech shows you photos before recommending the cleaning.
