One call for all of it
Most houses here have two or three brands under one roof: a furnace from one maker, an outdoor unit from another, a water heater from a third.
Asked on the phone
Yes: Lennox, Goodman, York, Bryant, Amana, Daikin and the rest. A furnace is a furnace: the igniter, flame sensor, pressure switch, blower and board work the same way across makers, and the parts come from supply houses we buy from every week.
Open the furnace or air handler’s front door, or look at the side of the outdoor unit or water heater. The rating plate lists the brand, the model number and the serial number. Take a photo of it; the serial number usually tells us the year it was made, and each brand page explains how to read it.
No. A manufacturer’s parts warranty depends on registration and the part failing, not on who turns the wrench, as long as the repair is done right by a licensed contractor. Some makers want warranty parts claimed through one of their dealers, and we tell you if that’s the case before ordering anything.
Trane is our first pick for furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps. We also install Carrier and Rheem HVAC, Mitsubishi Electric ductless, and Rheem, A. O. Smith and Bradford White tank water heaters with Navien and Rinnai tankless. Each brand’s page says what we’d recommend if yours is due for replacement.
Whatever brand it is
Call now if it’s urgent. Otherwise send the form at the top with the brand and what you’re seeing, and the office calls or texts you back to set a time.
