About that $59 whole-house coupon. You have probably had one in the mailbox. The number gets somebody into your attic, and the attic is where it turns into six or seven hundred. We publish ours instead, so there is nothing left to find out on the day.

How the visit goes

1. We look first

A vent cover comes off, a camera goes in, and the tech photographs what is there and shows you before anything else happens. No charge, including when the answer is that yours are fine.

2. Then you decide

You already have the number from the price estimator, before anyone unpacks anything.

3. Then the work

Return Air Duct Cleaning is a couple of hours. Whole Home Air Duct Cleaning is most of a day. You get the window when you book and the tech texts when he is on the way.

Plenty of houses open up clean. The cover goes back on and there is nothing to sell.

Send the square footage and how many systems the house has and we will confirm the number on your house. Send it here, or call (703) 997-9757.

Aaron on the job

That’s Aaron in the headlamp, our duct cleaning technician, the same Aaron in the reviews below. Three clips off his jobs, about a minute in all.

That grey layer is on the wall of the duct, which is why running the fan does not move it and why a filter change never reaches it. Book a look at yours, or call (703) 997-9757.

What Northern Virginia customers say

Aaron Kwon came to clean the air ducts, and he was great. He was thorough and careful and extremely polite–just a nice fellow. The office staff at SwiftPro is also wonderful. I am grateful for their splendid service.

Ellen Davidson, Google, March 2026

I had a great experience with Aaron and Luke for my duct and dryer vent cleaning. They were very professional, friendly, and punctual. After the inspection, they clearly explained the work needed and provided the price upfront before starting. I especially appreciated their dedication, they even came back with a larger ladder to finish the duct cleaning properly. Their attention to detail and customer service really stood out. I would definitely recommend Aaron and Luke to anyone in need of duct or dryer vent cleaning!

Ducts and vent

Sara Dava, Google, September 2025

So far so good. Team that serviced our HVAC and cleaned our ducts were professional and didn't try to upsell us on anything. Good value for the service; we purchased the new homeowner special and were pleased with the services we got and the discounted prices.

New homeowner

Veronica K., Yelp, August 2026

Kwon worked hard to clean my air ducts. When he didn’t complete the job the first time due to lack of a high ladder, he came back.

Straight answers

Air duct cleaning questions we get asked

If yours is not here, call and ask. You will get a person.

How much does air duct cleaning cost in Northern Virginia?

$298 for the returns, $598 for every supply and return, or $1,798 with an air scrubber installed, on a home up to 2,000 square feet with one system. Bigger house or a second system, the price estimator works out yours.

What does whole-house duct cleaning cost?

$598, regularly $798, for a home up to 2,000 square feet on one system. Over that adds $0.10 a square foot, and each additional HVAC system bills at 90 percent of the tier because it is isolated and cleaned separately. A 3,500 square foot house on two systems comes out around $1,198.

Do you charge per vent?

No. Per-vent pricing is where the $59 coupons turn into four figures, because a house has more vents in it than anyone counts before the truck arrives. We price the system, not the openings, and the number you get from our price estimator is the number on the invoice.

Is air duct cleaning worth it?

Sometimes, and the camera photos are how you find out rather than us. If the duct walls are furred over the way they are in the footage on this page, cleaning takes that out of the loop your air runs through, and the before and after are obvious. If the metal is clean, it is not worth it and we say so. The EPA’s own position is that routine cleaning has not been shown to prevent health problems, and we are not going to argue with them to sell a job. Look first, then decide.

Does duct cleaning help with the dust in my house?

We will not promise that. Most of what settles on your furniture came from inside the room, and the filter is what catches what is moving. What cleaning does is take out what is already stuck to the duct walls, which is downstream of the filter and which no filter change will ever reach. If somebody tells you it will end your dusting, ask them to put it in writing.

How often should air ducts be cleaned?

Every 3 to 5 years for most houses, sooner if you have pets, have just finished a renovation, or have just bought the place. We do not shorten that interval to sell more work.

How do I know if mine need it?

Look at them. We take a return cover off, put a camera in, photograph what is inside and show you, and there is no charge whether you book anything or not.

How long does it take?

Return Air Duct Cleaning is a couple of hours. Whole Home Air Duct Cleaning is most of a day. You get the window when you book and the tech texts when he is on the way.

What is the air scrubber on the third tier?

An ActivePure unit fitted into the main duct at the furnace, so it is treating the air the whole time your system runs rather than only while somebody is cleaning. It is a piece of equipment we install, not part of the cleaning, which is why it is priced as its own tier.

Do you serve my town?

If you are in Fairfax County, Loudoun, Prince William or Arlington, almost certainly. The list further down this page is where we are most weeks. If your town is not on it, call and ask rather than assuming, because the list is the common ones and not the boundary.

Book the free look at your ducts

Call and you will get a person on the phone, or send the form at the top and we will call you back. Either way you see camera photos of the inside of your own ductwork before you decide anything, and that part costs you nothing.
